PickledHedgehog.CMS is the CMS "engine" (after working with alot of "engines" I use this term very loosely) that is currently running this site. A few ideas were stolen from MCMS 2002 (after extensive beating it with a stick), and its basically a very lightweight version of it. None of this pageflow stuff, no approval and resource manager etc, no multiple account rights - just 2 sets of users - viewers and admins...
My main reason for creating something like this is the fact that there are alot of "CMS" type products available for .net, but all of them seem to be really really bloated - take for example CommunityServer, it contains forums, blogs, photo galleries etc, its all nice and well if your aiming to run a communtiy, but if you want a ready built CMS just for serving pages and thats it (kinda like this site), then its overkill...Thats where PickledHedgehog CMS comes in!
I generated most of the DAL code with NetTiers - its a godsend, and does all the faff for me (iv written DAL code enough times to know when im beat) - its basically powered by a SQL Database, and a .net site (duh?)
Well apart from this site, im currently (trying) to get another site up using the CMS - possibly one of my "old" clients who has given me permission to redo thier site again (how nice of them).
An update - My personal site - www.muntedharalhakim.net is running this CMS aswell, with no (reported) problems!
